The children of a fool…

Hello my lovely friends. Today I would like to share a poem I wrote awhile back about a foolish parent I saw in a store.

What they do will never matter
Because they never mattered.

Look up from your stupid devices.
They are only horrid vices.

Your kids want your time
Not silly money.

Stop being so selfish.
They don’t want a “prefect” parent.
Besides they already know you’ll never be one.

You’ll never notice when you stop picking up toys
Or when that man is one of your boys.

You don’t care and they know it.
You only care about your shares
The likes and pats you get from social media.

Why don’t you just turn it off
And listen to your kid.
They are trying to tell you
Before it’s all over.

They need and want your help
But they know you don’t care.
Because you never give them your time…
Your undivided attention.

And it pains me to watch…
Your kids zeal and spark
Die over and over again
And you silly goose are whining

Because you lost what mattered most…
But you never listen,
You only want happiness right now
You forget there’s a tomorrow

You silly fool!
I wish I could protect your children
Give them all the love they deserve
But I can’t…

I must watch and learn
So when it’s my turn
I will know,
Prayerfully not fall so low.

I watch you walk into the distance
Wishing I could nature
Your dear children.
Longing to see the spark in their laughter.

I love their sweet little faces
Having to grow up too soon
Not knowing what’s right
But only knowing wrong…

The poor children of a fool
They need lessons never taught in school
They need a whole life lesson box of tools
And a good counsel pool.

I sit thinking of the lesson learned today
Wanting every thing to stay
Put in my memory. I just need to pray
That I won’t be a foolish parent someday.

I hope you are having a wonderful day. Keep smiling, beautiful!!! 😊

“We refuse to turn off our computers, turn off our phones, log off Facebook, and just sit in silence, because in those moments we might actually have to face up to who we really are. We fear silence like it’s an invisible monster, gnawing at us, ripping us open, and showing us our dissatisfaction. Silence is terrifying.”
