Flying from my skin
The booming of
A thousand mad
Men or ELEPHANTS
Stampeding across
The mountainside
I run inside
From the unknown
Safely to hide
Then the shock hits
All I can do is twitch
The smell is awful
As it begins to burn
The clouds wash me
With their tears
But there’s no savior
For my deafened ears

But you never would

Were making up a story
About ninja spies
With beautiful butterflies
Who become heroes
Because they invented bows…
Maybe I do need

In a sea of green
The one on the outside
Never even seen
He is stuck in the
Middle between
Everyone who is normal
And very mean
This little boy who
Is now a teen
Learning to hide things
Not seen as keen
Until one day he
Wakes up nineteen
Finding he doesn’t know
Himself, it’s all routine
Don’t kill the little
Red apple inside out
Forcing him to climb
When he’s made to shout
Let him be who he
