3 Day Quote Challenge…

Hello my lovely friends. Today is the last day of this challenge. I hope you enjoyed the quotes I shared.

“Have courage, and be kind.” ― Cinderella

This quote is very dear to my heart. It will always remind me of how precious and simple life is. Cinderella was facing great pain and grief but was still courageously kind, loving and generous.  If we only do something courageous and something kind everyday. The world will change positively. ❤

I am tagging:

Have a wonderful day.

Thunder Storm

The sound sent me
Flying from my skin

The booming of
A thousand mad

Stampeding across

The mountainside
I run inside

From the unknown
Safely to hide

Then the shock hits
All I can do is twitch

The smell is awful
As it begins to burn

The clouds wash me
With their tears

But there’s no savior
For my deafened ears

I hope you all are having a marvelous day. I love fall thunderstorms. Do you enjoy a good thunderstorm???

Little Brother

I am older than you
There’s nothing you can do
To change this fact
Besides maybe a fatal act…
But you never would
My ideas are far too good
Like that time we
Were making up a story
About ninja spies
With beautiful butterflies
Who become heroes
Because they invented bows…
Maybe I do need
Your help— my imagination, indeed…
I’m the seer of stars
And you’re the inventor of cars
I love you
I always shall, nothing you do
Will ever change that!

I hope you having a wonderful day. Don’t forget to love your brother today. [=

🍎 The Little Red Apple 🍎

The one red apple
In a sea of green

The one on the outside
Never even seen

He is stuck in the
Middle between

Everyone who is normal
And very mean

This little boy who
Is now a teen

Learning to hide things
Not seen as keen

Until one day he
Wakes up nineteen

Finding he doesn’t know
Himself, it’s all routine

Don’t kill the little
Red apple inside out

Forcing him to climb
When he’s made to shout

Let him be who he
Is, what he’s about

The little red apple
Who’s invariably ample

I hope you are having a wonderful day. [=

The Knowledge Of Everything

To understand everything
Is understanding nothing
Which is knowing something

So to learn everything
You must know nothing,
The knowledge of something

Therefore we all know everything
Meaning we understand nothing
Which is the knowledge of something

I hope you are having a wonderful day. [=

Little Dancer

Little dancer
Floating across the room

What must you feel
Weaving like an ancient loom

Full of grace
Transcending time and space

Strong bones
Long legs wrapped in muscle

Listening to tones
Of visual music

Spinning around
Until you hit the ground

We get lost
Deep within your laughter

Laughing is tossed
Aside. Tears begin to flow

Because one word
You heard from miles away

I spend ages
Rebuilding you. Wanting you to stay

But one day
You go only leaving your shadow

We put you
Into the cold hard earth

We sing your song
Because for you, we long

Little dancer
Why did you die?

Why did you
Give up over stupid words?

We see you
Walking around in business suits

But you killed
Something inside yourself

That day
You listened to what they say

Keep following your dreams. Keep doing every little thing that makes you, you!

I love to travel back in time
To a place of magic and rhyme
A place where my childhood friends
Never change, not in looks
Because they live in books

Have a wonderful day full of magic, rainbows and starry nights.

“A children’s story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children’s story in the slightest.”  ― C.S. Lewis

Hello my lovely friends. Today I would like to share a poem inspired by one of my college classes. Enjoy!

I guess I’ll pull back the curtains
I’ll let you see in

Look at my trophies
And the times I didn’t win

Because I couldn’t read properly
Until I was eight

But I didn’t let
That decide my fate.

I have watched my parents
Struggle for everything

We have today. I will
do the same thing.

I come from the bottom
I’ve done without

But that’s not
What this poem is about

I’ve been told in so many words
I’m stupid. I’ll never learn

I’ve cried when those
I’ve trusted turned

I have never let any of that
Stop me for long

I just stand up
And sing my victory song

I’m a fighter
I will not be held back

I will not let your words
Kill me, without tack.

I can see right through
The fake liars

You will never put out my
Passionate fires

I am a force to be
Reckoned with

The fact that I’m always
Sweet is a myth

Let’s move on to a
Good thing

I have been told
I can sing

I am creative and kind
I’m a pearl to find

I am the girl who
Couldn’t spell

But who writes
Pretty well

I’m the girl who doesn’t
Understand algebra

But who loved to be
In theatric drama

I am a good leader
Because I learned to follow

I am strong because
I’ve known great sorrow

So remember little one
Things aren’t as the seem

Never give up on a person
Or a big dream.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day. Keep smiling and never give up on your dreams!!!

The Girl In The Mirror…

Hello my lovely friends. Today I would like to pull back the curtain and let you look inside. I would like to share a poetic story I wrote about a girl who hid behind a mask. Enjoy!!!

The Girl In The Mirror

Sometimes all I want to do
Is to crawl up into someone else’s mind,
And hide.

To escape my own thoughts and lies,
Seeing what others think is true,
inside of you.

I just want to sit for a moment or two,
Thinking your thoughts instead of my own,
In my tone.

I want to know what you believe is true,
What you see in me,
What you think I can be.

Because when I see myself…
I see all the lies in my head,
the ones dreamed up in bed.

I see a girl with old eyes,
A girl with a world full of sighs,
A girl who in some ways is old,
But she isn’t stone cold.

Her heart she protects at all cost,
She hides herself in masks
And smoke.

She doesn’t want them to see the truth.
She’s only a little girl,
Scared to death of failing,
Fearful of displeasing,
She is broken and soft inside.
She only wears the bullet proof mask…
Because she has been hurt many times before.

She wears the mask of a woman,
Strong, courageous and true.
But she is weak,
and not always true.

She wants to remove her mask
But her scares are unsightly,
Her face is mingled,

She has been hurt so many times before,
why would she let another in.
Why would she put herself through that pain again.

She cries alone,
She eats alone,
She writes alone,
She serves alone,
She lives alone.

She is locked away,
A secret forever will stay,

One day when it’s far too late she will realize,
Being hurt is worth it.
Is choosing who will hurt you.

Masks and towers,
Escapes only bring happiness for a moment.

Allowing others to hurt you,
To make you feel.
Is a big deal!!!
She will learn it’s better not to wear a mask,
And love others
Forgive others,
Allow others inside.

She will one day learn to let others in,
into her secret place,
The one she has for those with grace.

She will learn when it’s far too late
That it will always be worth it.
To say yes to love
and yes too heartache.

She will learn too late that she is only human,
And humans aren’t always supposed to run.

She will learn once she can no longer live
That to be true
Is to live as one does in their head,
To daily be the person in the dreams upon your bed.
To awaken with inspiration and live.

Be in the moment and speak kindly.
To be present.
To only take things one at a time.

She will know these things once it’s too late
To save the date…
She will look into her old face with young eyes
And know she was always dreaming,
Lost inside her head
And in someone else’s head
But never in the here or now.
This is how
She the girl in the mirror
Became the girl 6 feel down.

She was under all her masks
And thoughts.
Under she was forevermore.

I hope you are having a wonderful day!!! Keep smiling, your smile lights up the day. 😊

The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.”
― Jim Morrison

#20 NaPoWriMo, The Kenning…

Hello my lovely friends. Today’s challenge is to write a Kenning poem. A riddle of sorts kinda poem. Enjoy!!!

The Kenning

The Kenning
Was kidding
Making a joke.

About slumbering
visions. Telling
All kinds of folk.

He gave then a clue
One or maybe two
But they woke

What was he to do
Besides tell what’s true
He said with a small choke…

Slumbering visions.
Star kisses.
Log fog.

Night horrors.
Tales playing.
Great honors

Adventure keeper.
The ZZZzzzs catcher.
Pillow whisper.
Learning stinker.

Darkness’ best friend.
The moons lullaby.
Child seeker,
Never loved in the end.

Adults longing.
Teenagers sighing.
Everyone is yawning.
Children crying.

Little keeper of the night.
Give me some sunlight.
Let me win a good fight.
And always be in the right.

Good night sweet fairy.
My snoring friend.
Please until morning tarry
Your sweetest send.

I hope you all had sweet dreams/sleeps!!! Keep smiling, awesome sauce.

Allie ❤
