Hello my lovely friends. Enjoy today’s poem and illustration.

Thunder Storm

The sound sent me
Flying from my skin

The booming of
A thousand mad

Men or ELEPHANTS
Stampeding across

The mountainside
I run inside

From the unknown
Safely to hide

Then the shock hits
All I can do is twitch

The smell is awful
As it begins to burn

The clouds wash me
With their tears

But there’s no savior
For my deafened ears

I hope you all are having a marvelous day. I love fall thunderstorms. Do you enjoy a good thunderstorm???

Somber Fall

Darkness comes surfing the rain
Washing far away
The heat of the day

Fall’s such a somber season
The trees are crying
The grass is dying

People lost in coats and dreams
Rushing to and fro
Seen from my window

I hope you are having an amazing day.

Running in the freezing Rain…

Hello my lovely friends! Today I have a poem inspired by running, I hope you all enjoy!!!

Running in the freezing Rain

Running in the freezing rain
Helps wash away the pain.
The consuming numbness again,
It’s like watching a nightmare begin.

I wish I could say I would miss you,
But somehow that doesn’t seem true.
I want the cold to freeze my bleeding heart.
I just want everything to stop falling apart.

My memories start to fade,
My thoughts actually obeyed.
But my heart cannot hide,
Nor my soul, what’s inside.

My inner self cannot lie.
That you wish to die…
You no longer want to fight.
You’re sick of crying all night.

You just want to know what’s wrong.
Why you can no long stay strong.
You want someone to notice…
That this isn’t fake hocus pocus.

Part of you wants them to understand,
Let you rest and hold their hand.
But part of you doesn’t want them to know,
It’s to late… they’ve acted a foe.

I feel so lost, trapped and restless.
There’s nothing quite like being friendless.
I want to help you but I don’t know how…
And I feel as though it’s to late now.

They will never see,
The hurt in you and me.
I want us to be free.
I’m sick of us pretending to be.

We’re so much more then what they’ve seen!
They still think they haven’t been mean.
They will truly never know,
The hurtful things they sow.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday! Life has a way of being rough sometimes and running isn’t always the best thing to do but sometimes it’s the only thing we can do. It’s okay to run but always have somewhere to run to… don’t run mindlessly and endlessly, nothing good ever comes from that. I love you all and I hope you’re all doing well!

Some of my fondest memories are of playing in the rain with family and friends. But as we get older we some how deem it nonsense to play in the rain and otherwise. Adults (and really anyone over 10 years old) are too grown to play. I personally think that’s wrong. I think there is a time to play, a time to goof off even if you are 65 and own the largest skyscraper in NYC! I understand we all need to learn to be serious but we can’t forget to play!!! There are already too many serious things in this world. 😉

Playing in The Rain.

Don’t tell me I’m too old,
I won’t listen to you scold!
It really is alright for me to play in the rain,
I won’t catch a cold.

Why, why does it make you so mad???
I jumped into a puddle or two, that’s nothing bad.
Yes, now my clothes are spoiled.
But that’s no reason to be sad.

Why do you think it’s foolish
For me to dance in the rain???
So my clothes will have little stains.

You think I’m insane when I give your children rings,
We run outside jumping in puddles, being Queens and Kings.
But dear, we’re just visiting Narnia and worlds beyond your view!

To be honest, I don’t understand you at all!!!
Your children are very smart for ones so small.
Just because you’re grown doesn’t mean you know everything.

When I grew up my childhood self came too.
She lives and breathes in everything I do.
Sometimes I let her lead, we make messes and play.

That crazy child inside of me, sees everything as a joke,
Or a funny game called poke!
But I’m very responsible too,
I know when to put things back into the Zoo.

So don’t condemn with nasty looks,
Or judge my story books!
Because sometime the child in you will be leading,
And it will always be okay.

Listen to that voice inside your head,
Telling you play is discovery masked in joy!
Next time you see us playing with “kid” toys,
Or doing the things for girls and boys,
Come join us, no matter our age,
We are the ones becoming sage!

I hope you all enjoyed today’s poem! It was a pleasure to write and share with you all! ^_^
Thank you so much for reading! I’ll see you all tomorrow with in a new post! xD
